Alicia Gillespie is the visionary Founder & CEO of WorkplaceTrainer.ca and OutsourceHR, with over 20 years of experience transforming workplaces through strategic HR solutions. A certified expert in workplace compliance, investigations, and training, Alicia specializes in preventing harassment and violence, conducting neutral workplace investigations, and developing legally sound HR policies that protect organizations while fostering safe, inclusive cultures.

Alicia has a unique and creative approach to everyday people, cultural and workplace challenges that exist in any business.  Her talent lies in aligning the workforce with the intended vision and core values of the organization while achieving people and cultural outcomes as defined by the client, specifically its executives and shareholders.  She presents unique and "tailored-to-your-business" HR best practices that drive business results and improve your overall bottom line. 

Alicia truly believes that Human Resources has the ability to transform a business from the inside, improving the overall liability of the employer as well as the morale, well-being and commitment of its team.  Alicia has built or helped rebuild in house and/or virtual Human Resources departments for many organizations that she has worked with.  Her client portfolio represents start-ups to some of the largest, most progressive and fastest growing companies in the country.  She has experience working with clients in Tech, Agriculture, Legal and Professional Services, First Nations Communities, Health Care, Pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas, Recreation, Government, Education, Communications, Banking, Insurance, Transportation, Cannabis, Retail, Not for Profit, Hospitality, Manufacturing and Construction representing a variety of cultural, small to large business, union/non-union, local and global environments. 

Alicia holds her CPHR (Certified Professional in Human Resources) through the CPHR BC & Yukon in Canada, her SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) through the HRCI Institute and her SHRM-SCP (Society of Human Resources Management - Senior Certified Professional) both in the USA, her Chartered MCIDP through the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in the UK (SW London) and finally her CPM (Certified Payroll Manager) through the CPA in Canada.

Alicia has also contributed 20 years' of volunteering experience to her local communities including 3 years sitting on the board at the Human Resources Association of Calgary, Alberta.
